    It's not doctored. It was in several magazines as well as around several train stations in the 80's..

    I don't believe the original advertisement was for love lube...

    You're quite right. It said something like "Anti-Wrinkle Cream" - Glitter did several adverts during the late 80s for the Young Persons Railcard scheme. All the adverts were along the same lines.     It's actually Steve Strange, well known clubber/club owner/New Romantic of the early 80's. Appeared in David Bowie's 'Ashes To Ashes' video. Then released the single 'Fade To Grey' (written by Midge Ure IIRC).
