Rebelstar/Rebelstar2/Chaos - can't pick between them but they are all ace. probably the most enjoyable strategy games of all time. I'll take these over all the micro-management cack you get these days.
Renegade - best of the series. Still playable and, more importantly, still fun. To this day all my prozzies have to have trousers on and a fat madame who I'm allowed to jump kick.
Megabucks - best example of the arcade adventure and my fave (non-Gollop) budget game.
Myth - beautiful, varied, intelligent and amazing. The last great Speccy game
Indeed... I could never guess how they made this with so little memory...
You say 'limited' I say 'pure'
Limited? Never heard that one before :)
Bert delivers stabs to dogs that look like sheep. First time you've read that sentence I'd wager

Actually we, me and my brother, called them the same thing! We called it the shepard level  strangest drawn dogs I have ever seen
I always liked that game too. It was insanely difficult (one of the hardest games I've ever played) at first but once you got the hang of it was very addictive
Agreed. I wonder... Which one is the hardest... Army Moves or Abu Simbel Profanation?
To say the truth I don't play arcade/adventures anymore, because they require too much application and concentration, and now I need time for other things, so when I play (which doesn't happen very often) I choose games with easy and immediate action. Still, some of my favourites were undoubtedly arcade/adventures.

Movies
1. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (pretty good multi-level rendition of the movie in Ocean style, but more on the platform side)
2. Cobra (not much adherent to the movie... but this is one of his strenghts).
Others
Arkanoid (a nice conversion of a clever revision of an old concept)
Conquestador (an obscure but enjoyable spanish maze-platform game)
Cyclone (when the author is Costa Panayi you already know it's pure class)
Gregory Loses His Clock (a colourful nightmare from Don Priestley)
Pippo (a simple and addictive game based on one of the silliest italian tv characters)
Pssst! (pure beauty)
Realm Of Impossibility (this is quite crap, but absurdly funny in two players mode)

Megabucks - best example of the arcade adventure and my fave (non-Gollop) budget game.
Quazatron - Paradroid? Ass-droid. Disintegrator weapon + top floor = crunchy fun.
R-Type - genuinely stunning and brilliant for at least 4 of it's 8 levels.
Myth - beautiful, varied, intelligent and amazing. The last great Speccy game.
Way Of The Exploding Fist - unmatched in the one on one genre still. You say 'limited' I say 'pure'.
Angleball - odd snooker/puzzle hybrid. Overlooked but brilliant.
Green Bert - Bert delivers stabs to dogs that look like sheep. First time you've read that sentence I'd wager.
Don't you mean disruptor? ;-)
