EDOS : Electronic Distribution Of Software

edited January 2007 in Games
I have 2 original cassettes BOULDERDASH CONSTRUCTION KIT from WICKED SOFTWARE and MIG 29 SOVIET FIGHTER from CODEMASTERS.

This software was held in a central computer and when you would buy a game the game was put on tape in the store. The title code are 876 and 105.

Do you know of more of these games?
The cover from BCK is different than the one in the archve.
The cases are larger as well and can held 2 tape (when needed).

It was something from the end of the Spectrum's life.

Stores which used EDOS had a computer with the games for various formats on and when you paid for the game, their machine would put it onto tape or disc, depending on what you choose.

I had a copy of Stormlord in this fashion..

Nothing like all of them will be marked yet, I doubt if a complete list of avalable titles even exists. AFAIK the only reference we have regarding what was released via EDOS is a single 30(?)ish page catalogue which covers all formats.

All information regarding EDOS releases especially tzx files and cover scans is badly needed as many of them are STP or unknown to infoseek.
