Ye gods... Cornish Davey thinks he's got a lot of software?

I've got a freakin' garage full of the stuff :)

(Of course, it's in England and I'm in America... I hate to think how many MIA titles are in there that I can't remember, and will only find out when I eventually get it shipped to the states!)

what is it with cornish ? how can he know or not know what anyone else has got or not got , and why hassle people over it ? he doesnt seem to want to contribute anything either so others can share some of the unusual titles.

Some people measure others (and themselves) by what they have, be it money, flash cars, large houses, etc.

Others measure people by what they've done.

Personally, I'd prefer to have a decent legacy rather than have wealth.

I would have thought that if you have a decent Legacy, you NEED a load of cash - me - I prefer the Astra, not that I can drive

Ok ok, so you're not a very Impreza with a my joke eh? shuduppa your face
Oh bugger!
There's different levels of wealth though. I'm happy to have enough to pay the bills, with a bit left over to do things with.

after a visit from a debt recovery agent last night i realise my wealth is lacking. luckily though i don't have anything of value in the house.

ive always found women judge blokes on stuff they have. i mean im great in bed, and can do all sorts or tricks, im kind, funny, smart, my perversions aren't calssed as wierd. am average height, some would say ok looking. i smell ok, im pyshically fit, i have a good attitude to life, im not too hairy, i have all my hair on my head, my vision is perfect, i dont have any body fat, i dont snore, i still retain my youthfull looks.

....but because i dont have a big wedge of cash and a nice car, i am destined to die alone.

You're hanging out with the wrong sort of women.

I didn't know your right hand could talk.....

Miles, I'm sorry mate, I couldn't resist.

Seriously though, Nick is right. You are hanging about with the wrong kind of women. It's not hard to find a partner, but it is harder to keep a good one. You will find one if keep looking, and look in the right place - chatrooms etc are NOT the right place for a life partner - not saying that you frequent such places of course......
Oh bugger!
ha ha, i dont use a retro coumputer forum to pick up birds. ;)

i dont find it hard to meet women, but im scared of just settling with one out of fear of being alone.

anyway stop now, this is depressing me.

Definatally - when I met Amy, I didn't have a huge wedge of cash and a car. She was the one with all the money (and no that was not the reason I wanted her).

As long as we have the money to provide for our two girls, pay the bills and have some for recreational use, I'm happy.

Good on you for not doing that ! I know a few people who have reached 30 and it seems they instantly had to settle down and chose 'option b' as they were scared of being alone which is pretty poor.

Your doing it the right way, playing the field a bit, getting it out of your system, the right one will come along.

I know this will upset the romantics but i dont get any of this 'i know shes the right one' when someone marries the first girl they fall in love with. Its because they dont know any difference. At 18 i seemed to love every girl i met, wasnt 'real' love though just puppy love.

Dont get too down fella, tons of people are single 28+ compared to the old days.

I see them hunting in packs on a Friday night, between 6 and 10 women all aged between 25 and 35, married at least once, probably got a rugrat or two and in need of a no strings attached shag, or a new improved husband.

Its scary at times. As one lot leaves the pub a new lot stagger in, all getting progressivly louder as the lager kicks in.

Oh yes - its a national phenomenon sadly. Talk about mutton dressed as pig...

And, yes, our generation has the most single people in it so far...

My friend broke up with his longterm ex gf about a year ago, was always moaning about not being able to find the perfect girl (he does however live in a 'truman show' style world where he doesnt leave the local town though which doesnt help!) and yeah the older you get theres obviously more divorcees (dont mind that so much) or girls with kids (not so keen on that myself). He was lucky and find a 'gem' but the older you get there does seem to be far and far fewer nicer girls as theyre all taken.

I'm glad i didnt settle down till my late 20's but i'm glad (coming up to 35) i'm not single now.

right so ive got two years left, although i can pass myself of as younger.

Funnily enough, now that there's being a lot of talk about getting married lately in this forum, my girlfriend talked about it too last Friday. I wonder if she reads WOS.
Now I'm scared.
• edited January 2007
Wit the divorce rate so high (2 in 3 marriages, last I heard), the whole marriage thing scares me - appears to me as it's more like a curse.

I know that's the wrong way to view it and the stats are misleading, but still...
