name of game

i know this gets a bit boring, but who better to ask than the experts. I am knocking on a bit now and it is a long time since i used my spectrum (i purchased it when it was first released in the UK). The game i am looking for (i believe it was on the spectrum), was based on a distant planet and you had to collect parts for your spaceship (sails etc) to allow you to leave. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

You buy bits for your ship in Elite.

Why would you collect a sail for a spaceship?

In all seriousness though, could it be Brainache. If it is though you're not gonna get it here it's by Codemasters and the copyright still stands on the Codies games.

A theoretical method of powering an interplanetary spaceship without needing an engine or fuel, using the pressure of solar radiation on a massive sail. Apparently a 1 sq.km. sail could accelerate to 1km/sec. (about 2160 mph) in about 11 days.

Remember the Solar Sailer in Tron? That was a simulation of a seriously-proposed idea -- see Arthur C. Clarke's short story "Sun-Jammer", for instance.
