Read over on the Retro Gamer forums the very sad news that Keith Campbell passed away last year. He had a great adventure column in C & VG for many years and just the name brings back memories of that golden era.
Pity it couldn't have been Stuart Campbell -- I doubt that many people would miss him...
Keith was a controversial figure at times too. You should read the comments Design Design had about him and the fictitious C&UG (Complete and Utter Garbage) magazine in their Spectacle programs sometime.
Still, at times like these it's better to think of the positives. His constant rave reviews for Infocom games eventually hooked me into playing them once I had hardware up to the job.
Anyway, a Keith Campbell obituary wouldn't be complete without mentioning his solitary Spectrum game, The Pen And The Dark.
Tell me this isn't so! I couldn't find the thread in retro gamer discussing it, can you post a link please? I googled and found only interviews and nothing else. I used to love the Adventure Helpline in C&VG.
Keith also doubled up with Commodore User, where he had an excellent column. Did Keith contribute to SU at all? I've been reading him up on Mort scans.
Regardless, Keith was a scholar and a gentleman. Goodbye old friend.

I think that's a reprehensible comment.
