Another great 25th anniversary this year...

Bladerunner, the iconic SF movie, will see a "Final Cut" version released in it's 25th anniversary year.

It will screen in the cinemas too, which is great, as I've always wanted to see this movie on the big screen.

liking the cinema release, think it might be a bit of a money spinner (get it) the DVD thing, i mean how many more versions can there be.

the narated one is the original, the un narated one is the directors cut. (there are also some differences in the scenes too.)

same with me, i think the narrated version is much more interesting than the Directors cut...

it gave a some depth and 40's film noir envoirment to all of it...

actually in 80% of the times I think directors cut are worst that the original release...

I preferred the director's cut, with it's non-happy ending and the "is Deckard a replicant?" element, not present in the original.

The Deckard being a replicant thing never sat well with me.....if he was he would not have got his ass kicked around by the other replicants so easily.

Rachel was an experimental replicant. "More human than human is our motto - Rachel is nothing more than an experiment" mentions Tyrell.

As well as memory implants, giving these "experiments" the same strengths as humans, unlike the super-strength Nexus 6 models, would be a big step to making them more human. Deckard could have been such a replcant.

    I stand (sit) corrected.
