Partying like it's 1989...

1989 is a somewhat bittersweet year: quite a few really good games, but very few decent non-licence games, plus a rather deadly summer slump. Together with Crash getting pampletized and SU becoming ever-more pathetic, it's actually pretty depressing looking back at it in seclusion.

A shame - my rose-tinted glasses had 1989 down as a really good year...

    Agreed... And the odd thing about the just released chapter is that I barely recognized ANY of the tunes... This must have marked my transition from 'listening to the radio' to 'listening to Jethro Tull, Led Zep and Motorhead' phase.

    I used to have rose tinted glasses and I remembered them fondly. I've seen some since and they aren't as good as I remember.

    I must have been seeing them through rose tinted eyes.
