got a great speccy deal with some weird items

today i bought a job lot of speccy stuff inc.
48k+
zx81
2 16k ram packs
interface 1
micro drive
loads of books.
and now the weird stuff.
prism vtx5000 modem boxed
euroelectronics zx print 3 interface
z88 centronics printer interface.

ive never seen the last 3 items before.
are they worth selling or trading?
or just a load of old tat worthy of the bin?

    Not so long ago I recall Brian Gaff had something like 500 VTX5000s in his shed that he was totally unable to get rid of. Not sure if he still does. So no, that probably isn't worth an awful lot :-)

    I wonder if there are any modems it can still connect to?

    if you want it pm me your details it comes with instructions and inserts the packaging looks good to me the only thing is the glue holding the box together has perished . i would prefer to trade let me know what your offering.

    I have a VTX5000 - used to connect to a few BBS' and download a couple programs. Even uploaded a couple of mine.
    If you do some google searching you will find there are still a few dial-up BBS' out there. My VTX5000 came with a few terminal programs, don't recall now which I used. They were all PD, not sure if they're on WOS or not.

    You can link up two speccies locally using VTXes and you could also remove the ROM chip and stick in a custom EPROM.

    Could be. I tried a few in my time. I'll have a root around, I think I know where the tape(s) is/are with the software on. Will try to remember when I get home this evening.
