I never had the opportunity to watch those, but I've seen a documentary where Shatner talked about TJ Hooker. :)

When I saw the thread title, I immediately thought of The A Team, Airwolf, Automan, Knight Rider and MacGyver.

200mph? I think the bike managed 300mph. Strangely enough, when he went into turbo, so did all the other traffic on the road! Excellent cornering mind.

    Oh, and great T-dream soundtrack.

He spots a guy on the roof with a gun and calmly walks to the boot of his car, picks up a bazooka and blows up the building. :D

The man dude could transform into different animals to catch the villians...

    Or Man from Alantis

And there was that one with two blokes and one woman who had superhuman powers, but the name escapes me.

I think thats about as obsure as I can get, do we have any out bidders???

Misfits Of Science? I used to love that show. That was Courtney Cox's first noticeable tv or film appearance (after Dancing In The Dark), I think.

Actually it may have been 70's, but it wasn't that.

Manimal starred Simon McCorkindale who is Harry Harper in Casualty and also the photographer in Jaws 2

The other show with the 2 bloke and 1 woman with superpowers is of course 'The Champions'

    Good TV. show.

I am suprised that nobody has mentioned Hardcastle & McCormick though, now that was a class TV show.

    some great cartoons too.

mask - a load of men wearing masks driving about in trucks etc... not to be cofused with the film 'mask' which stared that horrible vomit inducing monster and the lad with the face problem.

transformers - loads of trucks that cahnged into robots etc.... not to be confussed with that documentary about tranvestites.

thundercats - hard cat type men without trucks battling a mummy etc.... not to be confused with the andrew l webber musical he did based on the cartoon.

He-man - a hard man with his mates battling a skeleton etc.... not to be confused with the magazine for sailors

From the image on that Wiki entry, the SFX were dreadful - it looks like someone's painted over the film cells.

A lot of kids were into that when it was shown in the UK but I think it was axed in the US after one season. I remember it being full of crappy "Pacman? He's a good friend of mine" type dialogue. I also recall that Automan used to wear a suit sometimes to "conceal" his identity and yet the glowing-blue of his neck would always show at the collar.

Just started downloading the entire series of Misfits of Science. I'm really looking forward to seeing this again. It's been 22 years since I last watched it.

I was surprised to discover a few moments ago that Dean Martin's son was one of the main cast. :)

Regarding Automan, I found the opening credits on YouTube. The SFX actually look much better when moving:

    (warning: very '80s)

I used to watch that all the time when it was on. I'm not sure if I'd think much of it if I saw it now though.

Here's the Misfits Of Science intro. It brings back loads of great memories. :)

Does anyone remember a series about a toy inventor? I can't remember much about it apart from one scene where the inventor was taking a bath and he had a sponge which grew to massive size when it got wet and he was almost stuck underneath it.
