Continue all the way to the faaaaar right ... be careful not to upset the honourable samurai walking past you, show respect when it's due ... avoid the ninja in the trees and shrubbery ... give ryu (coins) to the poor ... attack but only if attacked.
It's a fairly fun game ... if you know anything about the comics then you'll be pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the sprites, and backgrounds.
