A Windows XP question...
I have a partition on my XP laptop that's almost full, which is fine, as the partition is just for storage, but every so often a Windows "speech bubble" thing comes up on the icon bar (the right hand side of the task bar) telling me that "Drive D: is running out of space" etc - how can I disable this message, please?

Problem solved.
actually it was the other way round, storage drive was fine, but C: was full right up.
It's not a long term solution obviously, but have you had a look to see if there's anything you can delete? also make sure the recycle bin for that drive is empty, and do the drive cleanup thing. lots of dead files can lurk hidden. another thing that hogs lots of space is system restore, you could reduce the amont of space system restore uses on that drive (or turn it off, I don't really know about system restore on XP, does it protect anything except system files? it didn't on previous versions)
