It's great to hear from some of the old-timers again. We should sticky this thread or something, so those who've lost touch can drop in and let us know what's been happening.

What ever happened to Cyborg? Like Dunny, he was less than charming (to put it mildly), but, also like Dunny, you could overlook that as he both knew his stuff technically and also came across as genuinely short tempered* rather than deliberately trying to cause offense.
He was also very knowledgable about Duke Nukem 3D, and did some work on mods for the game.
* Being short tempered is still a flaw, admittedly, but it's not nearly as bad as being deliberately offensive for the fun of it (which is contemptable), plus it's an internal flaw that some people do detest in themselves and admirably try to overcome - I think that's why Dunny chose to become a nurse, as a way of calming himself down and learning to be more patient and understanding with people. And I sympathise with that, as I'm not too good with people either.
I can accept short tempered people if theyre like that in real life ! Sadly i've met a fair few people from forums in the past and their online persona is soooo different from their real life one.
Many people are the same and genuine but i do find it quite sad that some people have to act differently online (from the safety of their own homes) but are quiet as a mouse in real life.
Take Myles for example, he might come across as a funny, drug taking lad who does well with the ladies on forums. In real life however hes a 4 foot 5 midget, albino and is scared to ever leave his house.

i suppose being on a forum does make people seem very different though.
im not on about people who stretch the truth, which isn't such a bad thing. 'i've never let the truth get in the way of a good story.' or the ones who blatently lie about things, of which i imagine there are a few. but you're writting text to a bunch of people you don't know. so you are going to be more confident and less guarded in some way. i don't talk about half the things i do on here to people i meet in everyday life. in the same way i am more freindly on here to people i dislike than i would be in real life. I don't get the whole lets have an argument thing. i mean i do defend my corner, but in reality you can't win an argument on a forum, even if i had a tablet from god stating that the speccy is better than the C64 i wouldn't win an argument on which is better, neither of us would (still fun to do tho)
and in the real world most people just walk away from that kind of argument, but seeing as we aren't totaly nomdic forum users we are basically stuck here, so you are going to be nicer to folk.
i would like to know:
if ewgf talks for half an hour before anyone else speaks. :-D
Cornish dave slips in random conspiracy theorys into conversation then walks away. :lol:
and whether znorx talk in riddles, which makes me think he is in care. :wink:
