Have you tried Psycho Soldier within the Conflict Command compilation:
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0011237
I compared the data of the TZXs in Tapir and it said they were the same.
Do you have a Z80 or something before loading the level or screen shot to show the corruption ?
Have you tried a different emulator to isolate whether it's an emulator setting error or something else.
I look forward to seeing a map of this game, I bought it back in the day but only really liked the inlay, thought it would be as good as Athena ;-)
Cheers
Andy
Is this the game with the invisible platforms on level 3? I gave up at that point. 8 quid wasted. I preferred Athena anyway.
Now someone's going to say that they finished it in an afternoon, aren't they, just to show up my wussy games-playing skills?
As per our PMs, I made a fresh TZX from my original tape and the bug is present. Also barfs from WAV file, Sides A and B.
The instructions on WoS suggest the tape should have the 48k version on side A and 128k on Side B, but this isn't the case on my tape as the data is the same on A and B. I wonder if there's a new fix release out there somewhere ?
Good luck mapping.
Andy
If you poke 34464,0 in the original then it will load the second level in 48K mode no problem. Furthermore, the third level's graphics will be okay so it's possible that the problem with the original 128K version is that it retrieves the third level's data from the wrong memory location.
i have finished the map for this game and i would like to say thank you to
all who helped me out.on another note is the next archive update close...
