Didn't the Mel Gibson Character have a massive head? Also if you didn't move for thirty seconds it would turn round and deliver an anti-semetic rant?

ha ha, made me laugh out loud. :)

Unfortunately not, otherwise it would've been a better game :-P
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I've been posting here for the best part of three years now and this is the first time that I've started a thread which has been evenly moderately popular...

After delivering this rant would you then have to guide Mel to the TV station and make a half-baked apology when sober? That would be a pretty boring level ;)

The Mummy (Brendan Fraser) would have made a good sideways scroller as well, or perhaps something like Hewson's Pyracurse.

Yeah, make the trilogy into games then in the 3rd one you can get the little brat of a son killed in as many ways as you like :-D

Or was it just me that found him really annoying?

yeah you get to the end and just b4 you are about to finish it, some stunt man shoots you to death.

Hasn't that already been done as Nodes of Yesod? :)

(Cue Paul McRaker suing the producer etc. of The Crow for nicking his idea.:p)

    Shaun of the Dead

Definitely lends itself to Speccy humour.

could have a 'never taken a short cut before?' level where you have to jump over garden fences.

    also

    "you've got magenta on you"

Hot Fuzz in itself would probably make quite a fun multi-genre type game, a little platform beat/shoot em' up action, some driving, a little FPS action (sure enough you wouldn't be able to do it like doom, but you could do it in the style of Op-Wolf, The Untouchables, or maybe Cabal).

    Sweeeeettt! :D

yeah, or maybe something like the town shoot-out level in Kane but with the hooded 'locals' appearing from behind buildings/windows instead of cowboys...Hot Fuzz is a big film though, you'd have to miss out some parts on the spec no doubt

I'd loved to have seen Civ on the spectrum but i don't think it would have fitted (even in 128K).

What ever happened to the Alien 3 game?
  • edited August 2007
Alien3 was out on the GameBoy. I used to have it. It'd probably make a good conversion to the speccy.

It was completely different to the NES/MegaDrive version.

These 2 versions were one of the biggest wastes of a good license in history.

The SNES version was quality though.

    Never played the GB version.

The Speccy version looked the same as the MegaDrive one as I remember, only in mono. It just never came out :(

If it was the same as the Megadrive one it's just as well it didn't come out. Would've been shite :D

Never found a copy of the SNES one, but I'm keeping an eye out for it.
    Never played the GB version.

It's absolutely nothing like the big console versions. Look here for a screenie.

I liked it when I originally had it (possibly 95?), but now I'm absolute shite at it.

Just watched Resident Evil: Extinction this weekend. Probably one of the best game/movie tie-in series of filums I think.

Not a recent movie at all, but I always wondered what kind of game they could have made out of "A Clockwork Orange". Some beat'em'up levels at the start (where they beat up the hobo etc) in the first levels, then something like The Great Escape for the time Alex is in jail ... but I guess this would have been a far too controversial movie for a speccy game.

Thinking of another Kubrick movie, "Full Metal Jacket" - could have been in the Combat School/19 Boot Camp/Platoon vein with various levels. Of course one bonus level would have you bashing your keys or waggle your joystick quickly to deliver as many blows on Private Pyle in his bed as possible ;)
