CCS game Vulcan

Does anybody else still play this game?
I meet up with two equally sad friends once or twice a year to play the Kasserine part of this game, and I've bet them that there are others out there that might do the same.
I'd be delighted and astonished if anyone contacted me to confirm my suspicions.

This was one of my favourite games. I used to play on the same side as my cousin as the allies, one of us would take control of the Brits and the other the Americans and French.

Yep one of the best for the speccy... still play it from time to time :)
  • Hi! I worked with RT Smith (Bob) last year in Australia on the Total War series. Up until last October he was working for The Creative Assembly in Brisbane! I couldn't believe he was still around and I was working with THE RT Smith who's games I used to play as a little 'un!
Anyway, I asked him all about his days working away on the humble Speccy, but unfortunately he was a bit vague (it was 20 years ago and dear old Bob's getting on a bit ;-). He did tell me it was tough working with such little RAM & he preferred working on PC's so he could put more complex AI and Combat into his games. I asked him what Spectrum game he worked on he thought was his best, but he evaded the question & told me the best game he'd done was Medieval:Total War!
    Vulcan still rocks tho!

I used to love Vulcan, it took me some while to learn how to play it, but after that it was great fun...

I still go for it from time to time!

Only played Arnhem on a regular basis. Although a friend was nuts about Vulcan.

Same here. I often have a bash on Arnhem, even though it bears little resemblance to the real Market Garden campaign. It's still a great wargame. I'll have to play Vulcan for a change. Not played that one for about ten years!
