Scrooge...
In the topic http://www.worldofspectrum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18028 , NickH and others moan about how Christmas comes earlier every year (and rightly so, it's become basically just a commercial trade fair that lasts for the final three months of the year).
One of the things I don't like about Christmas is how every year, every single year, either the BBC or ITV make another film or play version of A Christmas Carol, or Scrooge, or Scrooge's Christmas Carol, or whatever they name their effort. Why?
I mean, (a) we all know the story off by heart anyway, and (b) the definitive version is still the Alistar Simms film, nothing else even comes close. Yes, it's a classic, timeless story, but why not just show the (to my mind unbeaten and probably unbeatable, especially since black and white makes it seem more poiniant) Simms' version every Christmas, and spend the money that would have been spent on the 345,876th version of A Christmas Carol on a different film or program?

Muppets Christmas Carol
Both worthy contenders.
IMHO
Just for the record, I fuckin' hate Christmas...
Bah, Humbug, indeed.
Andrew
I swear I didn't just dream it.
What next? Quentin Tarantino Presents: 3 Little Pigs
Luckily it's exceedingly rare for me to delete any files, so while its existence seems to have been scoured from the web, I've got it right here.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for the Three Little Pigs adaptation!
When I was a child I used to think Urbi et Orbi was a sick tale of cannibalism. For the record, I never actually bothered watching it. :p
Necros.
