Last Ninja 2 Remix

edited October 2007 in Games
Hello,

There should be some "opening" animated sequence in the Last Ninja 2 Remix (based on the review http://www.worldofspectrum.org/showmag.cgi?mag=SinclairUser/Issue106/Pages/SinclairUser10600094.jpg)

Have you seen such LN2 version? I think that the WOS version doesn't have anything new.:( Comparing filesizes of LN2 and LN2 Remix, it's nearly equal as well...

I've always wondered about that too. I think I had a look at the Remix version a few years ago and couldn't find anything new either, and no 128K sound either.
So what's new about this version? Was it a plain rip-off?

I think that the animated intro was supplied on another tape. Maybe. Look at the SU preview (link above) and you'll see screenshot from the intro. Perhaps at least the redactors reviewed LN2 version with this opening...

Well, I checked Last Ninja Remix .tzx file and it seems to have the demo, you mention. How did it happen you don't see the demo???

Oh man, you are right. This is the first time I saw the intro! I checked the TAP file and it doesn't have the intro.

Pity that graphics is converted from CPC or C64... But it's still nice to have something...

I don't know why anybody cares, if a game was ever overated it's this pile of crap. The view was bad the controls were bad and the graphics although not bad were nowhere near as good as everybody made out.

Every mag that gave these games a good score needs a slap, they were not good they were sub-standard and overhyped.
    Every night is curry night!

Well, I loved Last Ninja 2 when I bought it. Not up to Myth's standard, System 3's absolute classic, but quite good nonetheless. Admittedly, the controls were awkward. Ninja Remix was a ripoff, though. Just seen the intro, it isn't worth 10 quid. They should at least have brought 128K sound to the game, like they were supposed to do from the magazine reviews...
