I thought Saints Row was awful. I was given it for free by someone who didn't like it and i thought it can't be that bad. When I tried to play i found it just horrible. A sort of GTA rip off with a dreadful 'street' lick of paint given by someone who has watched a few rap videos and believed them. I passed it on to someone else after a few days.
As for XBox 360 recommendations, I have to say Oblivion. I only have 5 games (Oblivion, Project Gothem Racing 3, Perfect Dark, Amped and Halo 3) and Oblivion is miles better than the others. Halo 3 is quite good for the online stuff if you know other people with it.
XBox Live Arcade has some great titles and I recommend: Jet Pac, Pac Man Championship Edition, Pac Man, Galaga, Hardwood Hearts, Outpost Kaloki, Track & Field
i dont think they released the first one on the 360, i think it was just the xbox
it has new levels on it, and a lot of the orginal ones are different.
i have the ds versions, and this new one is a lot better, the levels ive played so far have been altered.
i suppose it you have the first two, it might not seem worth it. but if not its a good buy, theres plenty to be getting on with. also if arj is downloading them its worth a look in.
and as an extra bonus there is a cameo from a lego indiana jones who will be staring in a new indiana jones lego game soon. ;)
Just finished playing CoD 4. What an awesome game! Very short but very sweet. - just the way I like it. And since I'd finished Bioshock just 2 days ago, the change in pace was very welcome. The action is fast, brutal and to the point - no messing around here. And there are moments during the game that will have you just sit back and shake your head their brilliance.
A must have for all Xbox owners IMO!
Incidentally, anyone playing Assassins Creed or Mass Effect here?

Tiger Woods 08
Dead Rising
Saints Row
Virtua Tennis 3
Command & Conquer 3
are some of my best games.
How does C&C3 compare with the PC version? I know for example that Battlefield 2 on the xbox sucked compared with BF2 on the PC.
Oh, and for quick bursts of action, Mutant Storm, Geometry Wars, Mutant Storm Empire, Space Giraffe and Pacman CE aren't to be missed (on XBox Live).

Jet Pac

My PC is not powerful enough to run it, though I imagine it is slightly easier to control. For a console RTS C&C3 is very good.

Halo 3
Eternal Sonata
Half Life 2 Orange Box
Virtual Fighter 5
its a brill game and a must for all star wars fans.
How is it different from the two separate games?
Andrew
its on one disk. :)

I've got 'em on gamecube, so I won't bother with the combined one...
However I'm looking forward to the Indy lego game - and the Batman and Robin one (based on the old series) will be awesome I'm sure!
Andrew
yeah keep your money for something better.
the indy and batman games look ace, (in my head anyway)
it'd be nice to see the ole' batman back for a change.
top games
Oblivion (by far the best thing on the system)
GRAW2 (single player is too easy but the multiplayer and co-op is ace, new co-op DLC coming soon also)
Dead Rising (a struggle at first but one of the most imaginative and impressive games of all time)
Crackdown (if seen cheap this is well worth a go, it's essentially like being in the Matrix)
Skate (beats Tony Hawks hands down)
Call Of Duty 2 (currently very cheap, unbelievably challenging but very rewarding)
Rainbow 6 (rubbish single player, excellent multi)
Earth Defence Force (a brilliant budget game with a real Dreamcast feel to it).
XBLA
Pacman CE
Assault Heroes
Bomberman
...or something...
And it has cake.

Instead I used Gamestation to take advantage of a half price PES offer. If COD4 arrives today I'll be amazed.
I hate Gamestation, they are emo-obsessed wank.
A must have for all Xbox owners IMO!
