New Baby

Those of you who know me will know that in January, I made a post announcing that due to health issues, Amy suffered a miscarriage.

Two months later, we found out she was pregnant again and thankfully nothing went wrong..

Last week she had a false labor but nothing to worry about but she went into real labor on Monday..

Serenity "Ren" Sakura as born on November 6th at 1:37PM and weighed 4lbs, 10oz.

Mother and baby are doing alright, despite the fact baby was a few weeks early and mother is having her blood pressure medication sorted out before both can come home.

PS: I think she's going to end up looking like her mother.

    Awww, what a little cutie, CONGRATULATIONS to u all, av u been punking her up with some green hair dye ?, just think Patrick for all u know she could be the Debbie Harry, Maggie Thatcher, Clive Sinclair ( just to prove i'm not sexist :) ) From what i gather this is the calm before the storm of sleepless nights, poo, pee, crying, teething, smelly nappy changing, nappy rash and thats the first week :lol:

    Thanks for the kind words.. about time something went right.

    If you thought her hair was bad, you should have seen mine when I was born!

    Anyhow, we're used to all the sleepless nights - I don't sleep much as it is, hence some of my posts in the middle of the night.

    I'm going back down the hospital later on - I'll pass on your best wishes.

    Forgive the quality of hte photo, I took it on my camera phone (the SD card in our normal camera is full)

    What lead to the choice of names Patrick?

    Serenity is a very beutiful name.
    And for the 2nd name, I used to own a TV made by Sakura, it means cherry blossom doen't it? it's also a nice name.

    That is fantastic - well done to all! I filled up when I read your post and looked at the pic. Enjoy the lack of social life and sleep. I've got 2 of em myself (one of each type, 5 and 2) so I'm closing in on getting more sleep - yay!

    I should also say welcome to our newest (and smallest) Specchum!

    Everything is going fine thanks.

    She has a fine pair of lungs in her, lol.

    Hopefully, she'll be coming home on Monday..

    It took 3 or 4 posts on CPC Zone for someone to tell me to buy her a CPC!

    Congrats Zeropolis! What a lovely picture and what a sweet name - Serenity. Hope you don't mind me asking but are you a Firefly fan or do you just like the name? Either way, it's very nice.

    Vincent - we can afford a Speccy and before we had Emma, I had six of the buggers!

    SpyHunter - yes, I like Firefly but Amy had Serenity in mind for a name years ago.
