The doctor who operated on his mom when she died has previous for DUI and malpractice suits filed against him:

Can't believe the doc let Kanye West's mom die on his operating table. BIG mistake, methinks. I see a few high-powered lawyers coming after this doc's ass pronto... :/

    This story does assume you know or care who Kayne West is. Thanks to Wikipedia it is the latter for me.

    Seriously after looking at that link seems hes messed up a few times before. I think its ridiculous his mum even went for cosmetic surgery, when people get older and older and get all this type of stuff done they just look shocking. Saw a trailer of a film called 'Cougar Club' the other day and Faye Dunaway who is now 60 odd, damn the amount of work shes had on her face, she looks like some weird alien

    I'm not a fan of Kanye West at all, dont have any of his music and not a fan of his style but i know who he is, have you seriously not heard of him then ?

    I remember when there were decent rap acts, Public Enemy, NWA etc. The modern MTV icon rap "stars" would shit their pants if they ever found themselves in the same room as the proper rap acts.

    I'm with you there ! I used to like rap in the late 80's / early 90's, like you say NWA , Public Enemy were excellent. Ice T, Ice Cube, De La Soul and others i really liked.

    I never wanted to turn into a gun toting brother from the hood though ! Kids nowadays seem to want to follow all of that and become 'Ali G's making out theyre from the hood and even speak funny despite living in Surrey. Hearing some young kids talk with a fake carribean accent is so cringeworthy.

    Still surprised people havent heard of him though. I'm not into pop , classical or heavy metal but i've heard of most of the big names though.

    I'm surprised that you're surprised that people haven't heard of him! I'm so uninterested in modern culture that I can't even be bothered to click on the link to find out who he is. This is a forum dedicated to an 80s computer after all, so it's a safe bet that a fair few of us are out of touch!

    It's not even about being out of touch with modern culture - after all, I can tell you who the Ting Tings are, but the only rapper I could positively identify would be M&M. Oh, sorry, Eminem.
