I need some help and quick (the wife may be buying tonight).

My wife is buying me a new Camera from christmas.

Out of these two which one is best


Lumix DMC-FZ7:

    Dunno, but I'd go for the top one... bigger lens = more options.
    (Also, I have the Olympus pictured, and it's great - especially for macro shots. I've never got good macro shots with a compact.)

    Yeah we ended up getting the top one. There was one going new on Ebay for ?119. We saw it retaling just over ?200 in online stores.

    The title of this thread aint much cop. I have some many things on the boil at once I clean forgot I had not finished the title.

    Yeah, I thought the title meant you'd "come out" too!

    Anyway, I can't help you choose a camera, as I don't know much about them in general, and nothing at all about those two, but I can say that digital cameras are great - small, convenient, lots of great functions, and great quality pictures* (and all the features in the world don't matter if a camera produces bad quality photos).

    I've read that a lot of professional photographers don't like digital cameras, as they are aparently not as good as the older, chemical film based cameras, but I can't see the difference myself, and the convenience more than makes up for any degridation in quality for an amateur like me.


    * Well, I suppose only good digital cameras produce good quality images, but with google.com you can always search for reviews of any camera (or anything else) before you buy it.versions.

    going completely off topic. (much to scottys delight i imagine)

    did anyone hear about that builder who had that wizard from harry potter tatooed on his back. it was all a bit of fun until JK rowling outed him (the wizard, not the builder) and when he went back to work he got laughed off the site, everyone was asking who he was gonig to get a tatoo of next, some suggesting it should be graham norton.

    What? No "Death you bast" or anything? I was at least hoping for three lines of rant before you finally gave up protesting!

    Easy to find stuff like that, goto google, type in victims name+gay - and up it came. I read most of the thread through first and tried to find something suitable to add to the end. It worked, your reaction is funnier than the video.

    I tried the search with various other names (Inluding Karingal) but there's nothing worth a look. Unless of course somebody else can find what I couldn't :)
