Youtube users in the UK

For a little while now, every time I watch a video on Youtube, the download time is too slow, meaning I have to wait for a while before playing the video. Is anyone else having the same problem?

When I think about it, my laptop on the same network doesn't need to wait nearly as long. It seems to stream quicker. Also I've found that sometimes it won't stream quickly on my PC unless I move my USB mouse. How odd is that! Any suggestions?

    I suffer that problem too, usually at peak times. Probably some traffic management going on there at the ISP, or some of the Youtube servers are busy. I notice some videos refuse to load, others work fine which I assume they're stored on different youtube servers? I tend to end up going off doing something else whilst waiting for the video to load.

    I've been having the same problem. Some videos crash half way through and some don't play at all. It might be a server fault or maybe the video is corrputed. It's a bit annoying though.

    I have this problem some times are worse than other and some vids are worse than others.

    It is somthing I have just gotten used to.

    Does no-one have the mouse thing, where sometimes streamed videos from website such as Youtube and facebook will stream quicker if the mouse is moved?

    No, but I have noticed that the video will download quicker if it's playing than if you put in pause and wait for all of it to download.

    It's visibly quicker. The moment you hit play (from the paused state) the loading progress bar moves a fair bit quicker.

    I haven't seen any of those problems here at all :-P

    But then I'm not on there too often. Maybe once every 2-3 days.

    Only ever have a problem loading a vid there when my bandwidth's getting hogged with other stuff.
