I got a spectrum, which I put to it's best use almost instantly.

Hang on, hang on, hang on!

I'm not quite going to jump to a specific conclusion quite yet.

"My other half brought me a C64 game controller for xmas. She even laughed when I opened it."

    1. Is she aware of her error?

    2. She laughed like "Yay, I got my other half something wonderful and retro" or "Here, that's for wanting anal on our second date in"

    ???

She knew exactly what it was and the reaction it would get.

I phoned my ex to tell her and her first reaction was 'oh my god! Everything will be brown!!'

Do I warp my gf's that much?

I got a soldering iron and part of my hardware for the Pentagon paid ... so in some sense you could say so.

Well, this year my girlfriend (almost wife) gave me a DVD player with composite video input. Now, I've got no excuse to show my +3e in parties!

OK, it's new stuff, but it's aimed to use my old stuff...

Note: I've got my ZX Spectrum + (bought in 1984) with composite video output and Sintech keyboard membrane, and a ZX Spectrum +3 bought on eBay, with composite video output and +3e spanish roms, a spanish keyboard from a faulty +2B, and a divIDE.

The real menace (for me and my toys) would be my girlfriend buying a CPC 6128...
    I was there, too
An' you know what they said?
Well, some of it was true!

I don?t understand. Joystick you mean? Isn?t c64 joysticks exactly the same as spectrum joysticks, only you use an interface to use them with the spectrum. That?s the way i always done it.

This is the doohickie that has the C-64 inside it along with a few games. All you do is plug the joystick into your TV and up pops a ... buyer beware. ... a crummy C-64.

Aah, i tried to get hold of one of these some time ago without luck. Production have seased. They are real popular because you can mod them to be almost like a real c64, add keyboard and diskdrive etc...

fiver each i think they were.

ntsc versions tho...have to have the dvd recorder on to play em in colour, still never got round to modding one :(

ntsc versions aren?t as moddable as the pal versions i have heard.

thought they were exactly the same...just a couple of changed games???
obviously it makes it harder modding an ntsc item to use as pal

sprinkle some chilli powder into the gusset of her knickers without telling her. I feel that is justifiable for the crime that has been committed,

Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.
