2008 In Music

edited December 2007 in Chit chat
The new year is now less than two days away and this year will see some amazing albums being released. The ones I'm most looking forward to are...
  • The Cure - Album No. 13. A double album which should be amazing.
  • My Bloody Valentine - Yes, almost 17 years after their last release 'Loveless', they're bringing out a new one. Must qualify for an entry in the Guinness Book Of Records. Really looking forward to it.
  • Gemma Hayes - 3rd album. I heard a couple of new songs on her Myspace and they sound really great.
  • Spiritualized - Untitled 6th album. Can't wait for this one.
  • Marillion - Album No. 15 - Another double album. I've already pre-ordered this and I can't wait to get it. Should be out sometime in September, apparently.
Which new albums is everyone else looking forward to?

Necros.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I'm going over to Manchester in June to see My Bloody Valentine. It's going to be so awesome. 8) :D

Maybe I could arrange to meet some of you while I'm there.

The Cure, MBV, Forward Russia, the album Alex Turner and Miles Kane are apparently doing, "Chinese Democracy" (maybe this is the year! Probably not, but it's always good to get your hopes up) and the physical release of "In Rainbows" (I bought the discbox, but i'm buying the version coming out on the 1st because i think the package is cool and because i'm a completist)

Until they tour again in 2 years time...

...I just hope the tickets are cheaper than for the O2 gig otherwise I still won't have ever seen them live.

I've seen Page and Plant back in 98 so two out of three ain't bad.
