Emulators on smaller resolution

edited January 2008 in Emulators
I love gadgets and really want to buy a UMPC (Ultra mobile PC). Most UMPC's have a 800 x 480 screen.

I wonder how Speccy emulators would work on it, would they resize to 800 x 480 or would you have to minimise the window but not be able to make it full screen ?

Anyone have any experience of these ?

    (not that anyone replied !)

But i took the plunge last night and bought a 7 inch Packard Bell Easynote XS.

SNES, Megadrive, GBA, N64, MAME all work well (N64 a bit of a stutter but might just reduce the sound quality) but more importantly....

Speccy emulators work a dream on it. Nice full screen, not squashed or anything. The keyboard is about as big as an old rubber keyed Speccy so that brings back some retro memories.

Bit pricey but a great little device for playing retro games.

    What you pay for it?

    Hmmm !

Mr credit card paid for it - 399 !

I know the eee is much cheaper but i had to buy XP and then try putting that on myself so i went for the safe option. I'm sure prices will really come down soon as theres lots of UMPC's coming out now but oh well !

I'm happy with it, seems pretty powerful (Just playing Mario Kart on N64) and i havent spoilt myself with a gadget for agessss.
