Diag Board and Simple 8bit IDE IF
Hello,
finally I have made it. After finishing Winston's Diag Board a few days ago I started yesterday building the 8 bit IDE Interface from Peras site.
Gave me some trouble and I stopped this morning at 2:30 am, because office time started at 8:00 am. But now found the mistake and it works great. Have already copied some games and the loading time is incredible fast.
I want to add a NMI and a reset button and than the "super" rubber 48k Speccy is perfect.
Thanks to Pera and Winston!
Regards
Stephan (now playing some games;-))
P.S. is somewhere around here a PCB layout for building a spectrum edge connector expansion? To connect morde then one IF?

thanks, but this is not what I am looking for.
Lets assume I have three speccy interfaces without edge connector feed through but they are in principle compatible. I look for a device which allows to connect all three IF.

Other two things you should consider:
1-Some interfaces might not work when connected at the same time, if they use the same lines, ports, etc.
2-There is a limit on the amount of current that you can draw from the Speccy.
I don't know how to explain the technical details.
I use pc power supply to power up my speccy for several resons. First I need it to power the hard disc and additional I got rid of this TR4/TR5/coil technique. But also there is negative things, I need different heat source to keep my cup of tea warm.
Indeed some IF are still incompatible. Neverless I will give the sintech bus expander a chance, its cheap and I can try sintech support.
