I wrote all my essays for college on it, did some DTP, did a bit of programming in STOS, did a lot of raytracing with POV Raytrace, wrote some MODs, played quite a few games (Bloodwych was a favourite). Created graphics with Degas Elite. One of my works even appeared on an Automation CD (compilation disk). While I don't condone software piracy, it was the best way to get your art seen by a large audience in the days before the internet.

I tried to learn STOS but didnt have the patience. It was vaguely object oriented was it not??

One of my favourite games for the ST was Blood Money. It was a game which came with it (with the STE). It was kind of like a poor mans R-Type II except you could collect money and buy upgrades.

Me and one of my buddies used to spend hours on that. Never completed it though.

I also remember James Pond and Robocod they were quite fun. Oh and magic pockets.

You know I might dig out my old ST when I go to my parents house next.

Thats if they have not given it away. Can I play my old ST disks in my computers FD via an emulator? I have a box at home with about 500+ disks in it. It would be fun to relive some old memories, without the hastle of adding more wires and leads to my office.

Automation Compact 251 if anyone's really interested. Not even the best one I gave them, just the one they actually used.

Just loaded it up now (I keep them all on my laptop).

I'd never loaded that one before, why does it say "HOME COLD"?

Whoohoo, they both work! Made up a TV lead this morning and they're both fine and run the demo disks i've downloaded and created.

Was hard trying to navigate without a mouse though!

They just used a screen I produced as one of their menus.

Errr, sorry, just noticed your reply above.

Yeah, how's the cursor moved again without the mouse, shift and arrow keys?

I think STEEM should do the trick just fine. Don't remember though whether you have to copy the FDs to HD or maybe you can just play it straight off of FD.
