    Yes. It's origin is in the 1700s, back in the days before mechanical forms of transport when ferrets were employed in the delivery of mail.     the only thing yorkshire men use ferrets fo these days is walking them and putting them down their trousers.

    on a side note i saw a woman in york the other day taking a ferret for a walk, it had a little harness around its body, it looked ace.

    I do love stereotypes ! Went to Sheffield last week and i saw a bloke with his whippet. Also saw one of those ferretts in the harness, did look very happy, they can get very tame

    Anyway box is now emptied

    Actually I was referring to the Bell family and their infamous ambassador to WoS. One person doesn't constitute a stereotype, does it? :lol:
