Seeking Jogeir(?) Lilliendahl(?) .MOD music.

edited February 2008 in Chit chat
I remember a fantastic guitar(there were other instruments) song by Jogeir Lilliendahl (unsure of spelling) and it was in .mod format (or perhaps .xm, don't quite recall). I remember having it on my Atari ST and got it off of one of those many .MOD compilation diskettes, you know the ones where there was just a quick scroller, maybe a fancy pic, and the .MODs on the diskette.

Anyroad, the song was just over 10minutes long, from between '89-'93(the diskette was from '91or'92 I think) and I'm trying to find it but having issues, googling it no avail. I really want to hear this song again.

Any help appreciated.

You can find his whole archive here.

As for the specific module you mean, I will make a wild guess it is Guitar Slinger, one the most well-known mods by Jogeir (I only know a very small fraction of his mods anyway), but it's only 5 minutes long so it may not be the one you are looking for.

Thanks XTM of TMG! I will look at the collection when at home. It's also possible that the long song I remember may have been a mix of one of his songs. I do remember Guitar Slinger and it's definitely not that one though.

Hey - he did a mix of 'Terra Cresta' - and the famous Galway morse code stuff is there too at the start of 'Galway Is God 2000!'

Hmmm, I see that it's streaming/playing in the upper right corner but there's no sound (nothing's muted either).

Eh? They are just mp3 links. Ignore the 'Juke Box' feature. Right click on each file and do a 'save as' or just go to...

...and type in 'Jogeir Liljedahl' in the search box at the bottom and see if that works better!

(or just type in anything you want and watch it work it's magic!)

Ah Jogeir Liljedahl... that brings back memorys. I can remember listening to some of his excellent mods when Stefan Drissen released his .mod player for the SAM.

    Stunning tunes!

ZnorXman, when you've found the song you were looking for let us know the title, if it's as good as you make it sound, I definitely want to try it.

Are you making a PC based game on the sly here Normski?

I'm sure .MOD files are the ones that most PC game devkits recognise for BGMs.

If you're making a game spill the beans mister :D

Actually, yes. But nothing solid enough right now.
