Shitescribe
The new desktop computer I bought back in January (but haven't got around to setting up yet) has a Lightscribe DVD-RAM drive, and comes with a Lightscribe CD-R. I was intrigued by this, as I know from sad experience how crap stick-on CD/DVD labelling is (even the cheapest applicators are very expensive for what one gets).
However, the media are to my mind overpriced; CD-R packs which work out at 25p each may have been good value a few years back, but today such a price is a rip-off IMO.
Anyone?

I've done a few discs for mates, when I've put there wedding videos on DVD and there reaction was quite favourable.
The main problem is theve not really developed it - when it came out there was talk of different coloured discs and also CDr's but they never appeared.
The thing is It didn't cost that much more for the drive (probably ?3), than an equivalent drive, so I'm not too fussed.
What printer do you have that obviously has a straight paper path (if it's to print on something rigid like a disc)? What's the print quality like?
Something that can print on something like a DVD could also make a great device for printing etch resist directly to a PCB...
I have an R300, and a mate has an R360, the quality on both is excellent...
