New JSW game!

edited March 2008 in Games
Well I've finally finished it, and it's available at groups.yahoo.com/manicminerandjetsetwilly

If you're not a member of Dr. Broads JSW group, I will post a link to it in a few days or so when it's been upped to a different site :)

EDIT: It actually helps is you put up the title doesn't it

It's Willy - The Man Who Sold the World.

He may have actually already recorded one, as he playtested it for me :D

EDIT: He's probably who'll end up hosting the file too.

I *think* I've managed to upload this to the following:

    http://rapidshare.com/files/95911693/Willy-The_Man_Who_Sold_the_World.zip

so can someone test it please.

DM, I take it you don't mind my hosting it? If you object, then let me know and I'll remove it.

BTW, I haven't tried it yet, but I will tonight when I get to an emulator-enabled PC (all PC's should come with X128, Spin and EmuZWin installed ;-) ).

Nah no probs, just take it down once I find a proper site to put it on, I say this cos' I asked Daniel Gromann if he'd like to host it, since he's got a couple of my games on his page.

But I want a definite yes from him before I go linking to his website.

So just leave it up there as long as it needs to be.

Hey DM, this is a very nice game! I'm never going to attempt to complete it (the days when I had such patience are long gone :-? ), but it's really fun to explore, and there are some great screens in there.

Thanks for such a great game.

I wish there was a Dynamite Dan 2 editor available, imagine rewrites of the best 2D platformer ever*!

    * No, not Manic Miner. Not Super Mario World. Not Mario Bros. 3. Not Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Not even Earthworm Jim. I mean Dynamite Dan 2. Yes it is.

    Thanks a lot :)

The pics are just something I've been adding into the folders since my first ever JSW remake (The Drunken Master way back in 2002) I try to include sketches and things or any pics or bits and pieces that helped me make the game. Some people will no doubt view it as a waste of time and space, but I thought some people may be interested in some things that inspired the games themselves even if it is just a couple of random .jpg or text files.

All the stuff I had on paper for my earlier projects is back in England and I didn't have a scanner back then so they are probably now lost in the mists of time :D

Nope I was tempted to add something WoS related into it a while ago, but then I decided against it.

I think it does have "some" toilets somewhere.

nice game, seems to be loads of rooms it's literally impossible to go beyond though. the incoming magenta monk (after the room of 4 left-righty monks) is impossible to jump over...plus the yellow triangle blocking your way on the other one, and the locked blue door. any 'tips' Im well stuck.

The full link is fine, but the forum software has curtailed it. Mouse over and look at the status bar for the clue. Make it as text as a link like this instead of just pasting the link itself.
