Sef's Tale on infoseek
Hi
The Players game Serf's Tale ought to have a CRASH review link:
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/showmag.cgi?mag=Crash/Issue36/Pages/Crash3600151.jpg
(Adventure by Adventure Software)
since the Your Sinclair review
http://www.ysrnry.co.uk/articles/serfstale.htm
implies it is the same game. What'cha think? And can we have a SPOT comment to this effect, too. And is this another MIA - the original Nigel Brooks title?
(Whoops, the title of the thread should be SERF lol)
Additional: The TZX for Serf's Tale is missing the usual TZX info, maybe this could be corrected?

- Crowther & Woods created the original mainframe adventure (i.e. a false MIA)
- Adventure Software changed their name into Smart Egg Software (according to the YS advert), and the available Players version is this adventure.
In that case, I ought to
- Drop the Crowther & Woods entry and its Adventure Software re-release subrecord
- Drop the Crowther & Woods publisher record
- Merge the SPOT references with the Serf's Tale's references
- Add Smart Egg Software as the new name for Adventure Software
- Edit: and add a note that this is yet another rendition of the original mainframe adventure
Is that assessment correct?
Hi Guy
Do you mean the infoseek TZX stub or the TZX itself is missing Archive Info ?
Generally, it's only me who adds this block :-o, although they can become inaccurate if the information we have changes.
I need to recheck this one as the pauses look very short. This could be quite normal though so don't worry too much, I have the original anyway.
Cheers
Andy
