Chase HQ cheated slightly by not showing any cars during the roadsplit - you'll notice that they all zoom off into the distance when you approach the junction.

I definitely remember Boots or WHSmiths doing chart video loops during 1986 - it was what alerted me to the Paperboy coin-op conversion at the time.

just wondering, would these video promos count as something that could be included in the WOS archive(maybe take out c64,amstrad,etc and just leave ZX adverts).maybe, maybe not.thank you.

I used to regularly venture into Boots, who showed videos of the latest games (probably for a year or two) around 1985-1986. I never bought a game based on watching the video, instead basing my game purchasing decisions on reviews in Crash, SU, YS etc ...
The videos were obly good for going 'oooooooh ahhh' to when an impressive game was featured.
The graphics on the Spectrum version were in terms of scale and detail the most faithful of all the original versions, but that's what made it too slow. The C64 version didn't have any roadsplits, but it was miles more playable than the Spectrum version. I know which one I'd rather have had on the Spectrum. The C64 version was too easy though I admit that.

All on the strength of 'PARALLAX' and 'IRIDIS ALPHA'
