Good question ( to which I do not have an answer). A few weeks ago I saw a band called Gaelic Storm and there was this guy who played the bagpipes and two other instruments making similar sounds but looked slightly different.
One looked like a miniature bagpipe but had some sort of a Scottish name (I think) and the third was more like a digital version of a bagpipe. He left the bag on the floor and the flute-thingie he just held and it looked like he was playing with his willy. It had a cord connected down to the bag.
No clue what those two were but the first one was definitely a regular run-of-the-ill-mill bagpipes.

And if they did escape, they'd be FUCKING old by now!!!

Northumbrian pipes are a musical instrument
Bags' pipes are not very musical but you can play hide the sausage with them.
