Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way (the album)
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I quite liked Wolverine blues by Entombed, even though I don't really like the nerdy video that goes with it, or anything else by them for that matter :D

used to have that album. in my obligatory 'metal phase' (we all had one?!?). still got about 10 metal albums in my collection...

I thought that was such a disappointing album. In my opinion, they've gone kinda downhill since One Hot Minute, although Stadium Arcadium was an improvement.

I only really play By The Way for two songs - Can't Stop and the excellent yet underplayed The Zephyr Song.

A lot of people were dissapointed with One Hot Minute, but I thought it was great. Especially Warped.

Still haven't got Stadium Arcadium yet.

You should give it a go, it has got some great "old-chilis" style tracks.

I wasn't impressed by it, seems to me they've over-commercialised and forgotten why they got into music in the first place.
Can someone send them a copy of Freaky Styley?

A little bit of everything by Nirvana :D

Incesticide, In-Utero....Unplugged, Bleach.......Basically everything but Nevermind.

Sure enough Nevermind is probably the best Nirvana Album, but I'm concentrating on all the things that made Nirvana "Not so Popular" :D

I'm a sick bastard, and I like to look at things I maybe shouldn't look at so I searched youtube for Dimebag Darrel getting shot.

I thought if somebody got on stage and capped him, somebody must have a video of it, I'm not sure I want to see it, but I feel like even though I don't want to I need to :D

What's metal and full of holes?

    Dimebag Darrel!

By the way, make sure you all check out "Rebel Meets Rebel". It's the guy's from Pantera with David Allen Cole on vocals. It's very Pantera-esq, but with a very country music vein. A fantastic album that Dime loved and was only released after his sad death.

    I'll be off now....RIP Dime.

Damageplan kind of passed me by. I wasn't really impressed with the album, but at least I got to see them live.

Also, check out my new band (kind of, I guest on drums for one track). www.myspace.com/julannemoore2006 I'm kind of listening to them at the moment :D

For the first time in a while, I really didn't feel like myself yesterday :(

...also yesterdays insanity brought home the truth about how really crap Nirvanas Incesticide album really is.

Years ago my friend bought it then got all upset when we said man it's shite, he tried to convince us that it was their "return to their punk roots".

What a joke, more like it was their rushed studio album where every tune has a whopping 2 or 3 chords, and I think his patter was an attempt at self delusion because he'd wasted a tenner on something that was not really very good at all.

Incesticide was never a proper album release. It was just a compilation of b-sides, studio sessions and various bit and pieces recorded over the years.
It was really only meant for true Nirvana fans and completists only.

It is what it is and should never be looked upon as a snapshot of where Nirvana were at one particular period of time.

It's difficult to actually tell where Nirvana were at any one particular time, they were rather odd like that :D

...which is probably why I liked em' so much when I was younger.

You can definitely tell where Kurt Cobain was when they recorded In Utereo...

If you've got an hour, try Alicia's Attic - Alicia Rules The World :D That always brings the happy.
If you've only got 5 minutes try Together In Electric Dreams by Oakey/Moroder. That usually works for me :)

The reason I probably wasn't feeling myself was probably the massive infusion of beer, and the fact I sat and listened to a tonne of Nirvana.

I was almost to the stage of turning a shotgun on myself, so I went to bed instead.

Then woke up for work with a stinking hangover after about 5 hours sleep, so I've had a fantastic night :D

Fortunately the workload wasn't heavy, I think I'd have cried if it had've been.
