getting D80 out of didaktik Kompakt

edited March 2008 in Hardware
anyone able to shed a light on this barbaric idea?
is it possible to detach the D80 from its casing in Didaktik Kompakt and use it separately with 48+ ?

Isn't FRGT/10 the resident WoS Didaktik Kompakt professor? He might be able to help you out with this question.

Yes, it is impossible, because the interface/controller will be on the same circuit board as the rest of the computer to keep costs down. But maybe you can source this component from somewhere else?

    I don't know. Ask FRGT/10.

Well don't look at me. I'm a gamer, not a technician

But IMO it's not really possible, because I'm not sure about the MDOS (where it's located, cuz it's the one operating the disk)
Buuut it you't get your hands on a D80B drive and try to hook it up with a 48K (you'll probably need an interface), something cooould eb done witha built-in D80 aswell...

Ale niesom si isty absolutne :) Skusil si sa spytat na Paverovom fore?
