I fear I owe Matt an apology. My earlier flippant remarks were the result of me seeing Matt's post and going "Aha! An April Fools post!" (it was April 1st local time when he posted). In hindsight, they must appear to be rather insensitive to Matt and if I've caused offense, again, I apologise for that wasn't my intention in the least.

Hope things will be all right once again soon enough for you and your family!

Thanks Arjun, no apology needed at all. I came here looking for some humor and to take my mind off my problems. I took your comments in that vein and even had to look back just now at the first page to see what you were referring to!

    Thank you!

    Cheers fella!

And it is only money - more to the point, money we just haven't got. So someone can't have what you haven't got. Things have been quiet now for several days.

yes they do still have them.

    They're now called

"Varied multi-cultural offspring of differing but no less valid colouration, enriched from both heterosexual and gay & lesbian relationships."

The boxes are now bigger than they used to be. The Jelly Babies themselves have also increased in size to accomodate wheelchairs, turbans and CND placards.

Boxes? They were phased out in the mid 1980's! When was the last time you bought a Jelly Baby?

    Oh, and...

    Jelly Babies turn Jellyatric
A new version of the Jelly Baby is being sold by Age Concern in Suffolk to mark the 80th birthday of the sweet.
Age Concern in Felixstowe is marketing its own "senior" version of the sweet - called Jellyatrics.

The new "older" generation of chewy sweet includes a pigeon fancier, a knitter, a swimmer and an old lady on a zimmer frame.

Daphne Savage, of Age Concern, said the choices were good because they were all active and involved old people.

Sales of the Jellyatrics, which have so far reached 1,800 packs, are raising money for the charity.
