smallest character?

edited April 2008 in Games
- games like Earth Defence where you basically control a cursor don't count, I'm talking about where your character is an actual sprite.

any suggestions? who is the smallest of them all...

Don't the Lode Runner games have really tiny sprites? Like 5 or 6 pixels high?

actually...why's that game got a 128K version? I had my emu on 48K mode by mistake and it crashed straight away. switch it to 128K and it's got the most basic graphics Ive ever seen. wtf?

    Lemmings? They're tiny.

Shame cursors don't count, cuz 'Pixy the microdot' will always win at this game!

... which reminds me of Zolyx where you're a little circle. I swear there's another Qix clone where you are actually a dot.

I reckon the smallest, yet most detailed character sprite would have to be Rex. What a fantastic game, and it's soo well animated - but SMALL!

I'd say he did. Clear winner by a country mile.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I basicaly remember a game "Iron Lord" (I think) which had in overhead-Part (Village) a even smaller sprite (2x2 or something like that) which wasn't a cursor.

Without some add-on it was just a single pixel!

Crap game, by the way! I did never like it.

Hehe! Perhaps the gunsight is Pixy's older brother, or perhaps Pixy himself had grown up! :)

Ethnipod (homebrew game that was on a YS covertape) had some tiny sprites too. I seem to remember that the game was a bit like Rex as well.
