Well there you go, he's popped his cloggs...

Such great films, Soylent Green, Omega Man, and of course, Planet Of The Apes...

Never mind, I'm sure he had his vest on

I'm pretty sure that in 100 years, people will think that easter and christmas where made to celebrate Charlton Heston! he's the most epic actor ever!

he was a bit looney tunes in his twilight years, but. :(

Great actor, complete wanker in real life though as far as I'm concerned.

his stance on gun control and his defence of the NRA was a joke.

That's because he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2002.

Yeah, I agree. Saw Bowling For Columbine... that changed the way I saw Heston, can't stand the bloke.

EDIT: (He was a superb actor, though)

Same here, enjoyed him as an actor, all the gun crap i didnt like at all. Just wish actors would stick to acting and nothing else. Same with Chris Martin and frickin Coldplay, stick to singing.

It's funny, the way I feel about Chris Martin is the exact opposite of how I feel about Charlton Heston... Can't stand his work (the music, not the charridee), but he seems like a genuinely nice bloke.

he's a jumped up, holier than thou, wanker of the third degree. if he met you in the street rik, he would more than likely tell you how you are destroying the environmet cos you can't afford a bio house. then he'd kick you and say you should have a bio name like apple or turnip. i really hope he dies in a massive explosion which polutes the atmosphere killing his bio house.

Hmmm i dunno. Liked them when they first came out but i dont know, he just annoys me a bit ! Not in a terrible way but songwriting, fair play, some great stuff, just the way a band gets so big they start trying to solve everything. All this '3 black bands' on his hand kinda thing is so ridiculous

Stick with what you do best and thats music, just keep out of politics etc. I would perhaps like him a bit more if one minute he wasnt going on about starving african kids and the next minute he gets chaffuer driven back to his 20 room mansion kinda thing. The bands i really like i just enjoy their music, dont want them to start shouting out their political views all because theyre a pop star and can get heard unlike you or me.

You are aware that that movie is complete and utter crap right?? it was edited to make him look bad (Heston).

The 'cold dead hands speech' was given 1 YEAR BEFORE columbine and in a different town!!!

The movie was edited in a way to suggest he gave the speech a couple of weeks after columbine in that town.

Anyone ever seen a Michael Moore film needs to read the book
'Michael Moore is a big fat stupid white man'

EDIT: oh and the NRA gunshow thing they had in columbine shortly after had been booked like 2 years in advance and when they tried to cancel it they wouldn't let them so they cut it back dramatically and had it...in the movie it is 'suggested' they held it there BECAUSE of the Columbine disaster.

You arent suggesting Michael Moore cleverly edits his films are you ? ;) I do find them quite interesting but the Columbine one and the 911 one were full of clever edits.

The scene with President Bush where hes told of 911 i find very sad, as in no person has had to deal with that news before, you can tell hes very shocked.

His films are interesting though but i dont take them so seriously. He could probably create a semi-realistic documentary on Bucks Fizz being secret terrorists if he wanted to.

i read a pre 911 book a while ago, (it might have been a tom clancy one) where it goes on abot how the president should act in public. for instance if the president was given news about an impending invasion he should politly make his apologies and walk away from the situation. rather than having the media watch their president hastily depart in a blind panic. it's to stop people around the country doing the same.
