Funny Pop/Rockstar -Band Names

edited April 2008 in Chit chat
I am creating a programming tutorial for students this week and am going to utilise an array holding the names of Pop stars.

Now, I need your help in comming about 10 funny Rockstar Ate My Hamster band / popstar names to fill this array.

They need to be relevant to an 16-20 year old's musical tastes and globally known rather than just british known.

Shoot away peeps.

    Oh, thats very cynical

Perhaps you need to explain it a little more clearly for the less intelligent members of the forums (mention no names... ZnorXman )

That's what I was just thinking... Or does Scottie mean actual names from Rockstar Ate My Hamster?

Ok here is what I mean. I need a list of about 10 joke band / artist names in the style of the names used in Rockstar Ate my Hamster.

I cannot use the names from RAMH as they are by not not in touch with the kids of today, you ask an EMO or Goth who Lemmy is and you will get a funny confused look. So I need names like those used in RAMH but using bands or artists that are relevant today, and bands that are globally known rather than just UK known.

As far as I can tell the band names are made up, only the band member names are based on real people (Bruce Stringbean etc.)

So what do you want - names which are parodies of current bands or completely made up ones?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockstar_Ate_My_Hamster - half of these are still current anyway, even Rick Ghastley's making a comeback :(

If its parodies you want, I can only think of one - for Atomic Kitten - but I don't think it's repeatable in the classroom ;)

Geez, you are making a simple concept difficult. Yes, Parodies of Bands and Artists.

    For example:

    Justin Trousersnake,

    or

    Stiff Biscuit.

Sorry I was focused on that sentence, reading into it that we should come up with random ones akin to the names found in RAMH (they were random, weren't they?)

    My sincerest apoligies.

You sound as if you listen to the KRBE morning show like that. (Well, at least when that awful DJ Sam Malone always was talking about people getting a "J to the O to the B").
