Parap Shock

edited April 2008 in Games
Parap Shock is a highly rated Spanish game which I found immediately playable.

I'd really like to understand the ultimate objective though (couldn't usefully translate the small outline in Microhobby from the archive) and to understand what the items I am collecting do. (worked out what key and ring do so far)

Any fans of the game here? Any tips? Any translators?

    Any translators?

Sounds like an interesting game. I'm a bit busy in work today, but I translated the first part, which appears to be the backstory (sorry if the medical terms aren't exactly right!):-
We find ourselves at the beginning of March of the present year.

José, the grandfather of Paco and marvellous person has died. He was the victim of a diarrhetic collapse with internal palsy of the cerebellum, a pulmonary oedema and also an effusion in the right lobe of the brain. This produced an instantaneous cardiac arrest. Certainly it was not his day.

At the same time, one of the biggest gangsters in history dies in the electric chair.

Their souls go into the hands of the Celestial Judges, who will judge their behaviour on Earth.

But an error in the judicial process meant that the innocent grandfather was going directly on his injured bones to meet with "The cauldrons of Pedro Botero". (otherwise known as Hell.)

Paco, his grandson, a born parapsychologist, has tuned in with beyond and has discovered this big injustice. Thus, making use of his mental power, he has got into the satanic kingdom with the intention of taking his grandfather back to the place that corresponds to him.

But the things in hell are not about to make them laugh...

I'll do the rest later if I get a chance (Just got to go right now)!

EDIT: I now added the rest of the passage. Also it appears that "Parap" in the game title "Parap shock" stands for parapsicólogo (Parapsychologist).

There's also a "Note" inset from that page too, which I haven't done as it's nothing to do with the game itself. It's just something about the magazine tape and the list of programs on it.
