Has WOS been slow and unresponsive lately?

edited April 2008 in Chit chat
over the weekend ive not been able to get onto wos, the homepage has been taking 20 minutes and not openening fully, never mind the forum pages.
everybody in #spin / #speccy said it was just me, they could access it normally.

normally it goes a bit slow when i have torrents running, but it even did it before i started any downloads and straight after booting up from fresh.

i believe it was the site rather than me cos i had two other forums i frequent daily open in opera and they were normal....ive posted loads on those two sites over the weekend, no slowness / unresposiveness at all.

    it said
    hop 8 was erratic
    maximum packet loss = 100%
87ms was the maximum hop time
dns lookup took 2ms or less

i shall be using a couple of furious hedgehogs

Foaming-at-the-mouth furious or like they-just-hiked-up-my-property-tax furious?

I hear neither are all that particularly exciting to use ... perhaps a sledgehammer and a big gong are more entertaining?

its just screwing my head thinking that the majority have no problem with it, which makes me believe its MY connection
    BUT!!!
everything else ive accessed over the weekend online (including html downloads reaching over 100kbps) makes me think its wos?

    Martijn's IP address is changing.

Expect a small bit of weirdness during the changeover.

A big gong, eh? You're just showing off.

If that were the case I'd be charging people. I'd entertain them with hours of gong-banging galore ... not to be confused with gang-bangin' ... I'm against violins ... err ... violence.

Martijn has an IP address? Is that like some sort of Kevin Warwick implant thing? Will he get a strange but pleasurable sensation if I ping him?

Are Martijn's hamstergerbils getting their own IPs too?
