Just wondering if the US-WoSsers have received their so-called stimulus package yet ... and if so what are you going to spend it on?

My stimulus package is 10% of what I really need. It's going to be used for bills, clothes, food, credit card payments, etc. It's better than nothing.
And about the modem, I'm looking at it right now. A TS2050 that I can't test because no ISP will accept a 300-baud dial-up connection. :razz:

You don't seem to understand:
Gas (read: petrol) was expensive six months ago. Currently, it's unaffordable.
It's not too bad over here in the States. We have it pretty easy with gas being around $3.50 per gallon give or take.
Yesterday I read a list of the 100 cheapest vs. most expensive gas prices on the planet but can't find that list now, here is a similar list though many countries are omitted.
We should stop complaining about gas prices over here(US) ... and start playing more Speccy games.

Diesel is more expensive for some reason that completely eludes me.
In Houston there isn't a public transport system besides downtown metro which is no good to me as I don't work downtown....I drive about 80-100 miles a day around trip for work (the distances people travel are greater too than in the UK).
Gas prices are killing me....they are $3.55 right now which might not seem a lot to UKers but its about $400 a month I spend, then another $60 on road toll charges....so as you can see thats a pretty hefty dent in my wallet considering the price of gas when I got my new car 18 months ago was about 1/2 that.
100% rise in 18 months is not pleasant..and its still going up.
Anyway.....the stimulus package...I'm getting $600 and its going towards my credit card bill.
Why don't you get anything? You earn too much huh? ;)
