Yerzmyey Tatu 30 minut Carl Mix

Regarding this mix:

Does anyone know how to translate the lyrics to English or where to get the complete mp3? The one I found here seems to be just a sample. :(

I'm impressed with Yerzmyey's work and proud that the AY's still kicking.

    It's on the AY Riders site as a bonus track to "Do You Remember?". The lyrics are (presumably) in Russian, so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone on the Speccy scene who can translate them. t.A.T.u. did an English version of the song too - English and Russian lyrics here - but it looks like it may only be a loose translation, as the words '30 minutes' don't seem to appear in the Russian at all.

    Well they appear as "polchasa" means half an hour in Russian. :)
    I could try a translation when I am off work.

    Weren't Tatu those two attractive Russian women who claimed to be lesbians? And they did a version of an AY song?

    Blimey, two birds with lesbian traits who love the Speccy!

    In the same way that Radiohead, Pulp, The Buggles and Abba did versions of my AY songs (i.e. actually not at all), yes :-)

    Incidentally, just last night I finally got round to watching my DVD of We Are The Strange, the independent animated movie which gave that song (in its AY version) a brief moment of fame when it was 'borrowed' (uncredited) for the trailer. (It was an honest mistake, and the guy was very reasonable about it, unlike a certain Timbaland fellow...)

    ...well, actually I only watched the first half hour and then switched it off because it was an incoherent mess of ideas that made no sense. But then that's exactly what I thought about Mike Oldfield's Amarok the first 4 or 5 times I listened to it...

    Yeah, it's a remix. I actually found out about it originally from the We are the Strange trailer.

    Yes. It's probably rather kind of "free-style" translation. Licentia poetica, you know.
    And actually "pol ciasa" (appearing in the song) means "half of an hour", not "30 minut". :)
    Similar situation is with other Tatu songs translated into English.
    It was pointless anyway because the songs were interesting in Russian (exotic I mean, like J-Pop in Japanese) and they lost great deal after translating into English.
    It's like singing j-pop in English. :)

    Or Klingon opera in Chinese. ;) ;)
