Aw, I missed the group hug!! :(

Cheers once again Daren, I'm away downstairs now to watch The Vicar of Dibley :)

*fights back a tear welling in one eye, thanks Jumping Stack, and sits back down, but far more content than before, and without arms crossed*

    Content does not equal activity!

Oh, wait I guess it does in this case ... and it's a different meaning of the word ... so never mind!

My my, doesn't DanSolo have a high opinion of himself.
I can report back to Lemon from the WorldOfSpectrum forum that, er, mission accomplished? No-one on that thread seems to even know of a ZX website apart from WorldOfSpectrum, and the the only C64 site they've ever heard of is this one.
Not much point in having an argument about which platform has the bigger retroscene when the "opposition" are only aware of two websites in total. It just isn't fair.
As a fact-finding mission it was an utter failure, as no-one there seems to have any facts.
They have some "trolls" apparently though. Their definition is slightly different from ours. To them, a troll is someone who repeatedly brings a thread back on topic and backs up argument with data. They all happen to be C64 owners too funnily enough.
Luckily we all know that quote is filled we so many bare faced lies and half truths. In fact so do some of the Lemoners as they appear to be turning on him as well.
I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

This is a far nicer thread. Let's all go there instead.

Haha, the Lemon64 thread has now been locked, just when Dan had been brought up on his shite argument skills at thread posting and quoting by me!

Dammit, I was just getting into that one too!

    Linky please. :)

Well done guys. Some of you got a thread at Lemon locked in record time. I guess it's not just me that thinks a select few of you are just argumentative tossers.
Sorry, you're just going to have to talk your shit to me here instead.
Got that list yet? Or are you going to pretend WOS has as much "content" and "activity" or whatever you want to call it as the C64 sites I've listed?

I read Dan's posts on the Lemon thread and two words come to mind...

    Flawed logic.

Either that or the Lemon Administrator took pity on you and decided to put you out of your misery...

Dan, I've already told you where you can find the links you request. Are you that stupid that you cannot follow a simple instruction?

Also, are you going to admit you were wrong with your last posts about thread quoting - that you simply got it wrong and misquoted what was said?
  • edited May 2008
Yup, I got the quotes mixed up. Lotta new ZX fans over there the last few days funnily enough.
    Here's a rundown:
    plus5 calls me XYX
    I call plus5 XYZ
Starglider butts in to say anyone who uses insults in likely losing the argument.
I incorrectly put them down as being the same person.

So, "Starglider" care to apologize to "plus5" for calling him a loser?
Or could you be the mystery newcomer with the magic list of ZX websites?

    But I didn't call him a loser. You're mis-quoting again.

    [EDIT]
And I'm not sure what you mean by "Mystery newcomer". I have used the same username on both this forum and the Lemon64 forum. And all I did was point you in the direction of the WoS frontpage to tell you where to find links to other Spectrum related sites. Not really rocket science now, is it?

    Why not just apologise?

Well that's being constructive. People who resort to name-calling is usually the one who is losing the argument.

That's the sequence. You quite clearly said Plus5 was losing.

DanSolo seems to be using a lot of the same phrases that our esteemed Speccy8 used.

Oh my god, you are really that stupid, aren't you? I was replying to YOU, not him! The fact that his quote was also included in my post is inconsequential - your message was the last quoted, and I was replying to YOU. Everyone here would see that. Plus5 could see that. Why can't you?
