what are you doin?

edited May 2008 in Chit chat
not in an accusation sort of way, but, erm, what are you doin?

I'm recovering from a nasty hangover, someone mistakingly gave me a few drinks of their very strong vodka last night, they should not have done that when i asked for a drink, eek

Also, strangely enough and I can't quite remember why but looking for pictures of wanking gloves. I just wondered if they existed and found it funny, hehe. If I can find a picture or even a pair to buy I'm gonna wait 'til a Friday night party night and present them to a younger mate in front of everyone :D anyone else have a mate that goes on about wanking all the time, I got one who's mother has to turn his porn off all the time when he falls asleep, and the bad thing is he's just turned 25... it was funny when he was first telling us all about it when he was 17, but this kid seriously needs a pair of gloves, lol

edit. I've got a very nice stoned buzz on from some nice weed, and wrote this about 25 minutes ago and forgot, hehe. Just got a System load too high when relogging in, I think that's only the second time I've experienced that in four years here on Wos :)

anyway, i'm rambling, soz ;) (don't post it, ed)

Listening to Test Match Special over the Internet (a recent discovery now that there's no live cricket unless you have Sky, and I'm really getting into it - great personalities broadcasting), and working on the 1989 soundtrack.

Well I've just mown the front and back lawns and dug over some flower beds in preparation for some new plants.
Now I'm deciding what music to listen to whilst I string DanSolo along a bit more...

I'm contemplating building my first ever workbench. I'm not keen on wood, it reminds me of getting splinters and hippies making things with a small knife. I know it will end up wonky, I know its going to cost me ?50 in materials and collapse as soon as I put something on it, but by God I'm going to build it. Tomorrow.

Or you're on the internet to look at porn, so you can find new ways to make it up to her by shagging her silly...

Thank f*ck for that, I just remembered what I posted and though "Shiiiiiit !", thought the topic would float to the bottom, hehe

@ Nick - Exciting thinking about the tunes for the 1989 chapter :) It's almost as nice listening to the tunes as watching the vids, you always pick good tunes, and I usually have forgotton about a lot of them, never seem to know/remember what music I liked in the 80's, shameful music knowledge...

@ Karingal - What kind of mower you got? I just bought my first ever strimmer cos my grass is usually 3 foot high, 55 quid for a Black and Decker summitorothergetsthejobdonenicely :) I'd rather have a mower though, real men have mowers, hehe

I've got a hand mower you have to push because it's all manly but it made creating Advanced Lawnmower Starter Simulator difficult.

Sitting at the computer thinking about something to eat, whilst trying to keep myself awake. I think my body may have prduced enough natural Mescalin to have some mild hallucinations

But I really must eat something before I go to bed, and maybe wash it down with an Icy cold one, that'll seal the deal nicely.

Also keeping one eye on a couple of "interesting" (or could that be uninteresting :???:) threads :D

I'm working on some scans that I want to upload to WOS, reading WOS forums, having a coffee, and listening to classical music.

was LMAO 20 mins ago reading this :) Spot on, there comes a time in a mans life when he needs to make shit, I need shelves but I'm f*cked if I know how to do it :D Is it a general fear of hippies or just the ones that whittle (sp.) away at things :D

Took 3 times trying to reply to this, argggh, why are Virgin capping my download at like 7K after 4:00 p.m. :( it used to be about 58K a few months ago, yay, I have broadband dial-up, :( rabble rabble rabble

If Mescalin is some chemical you get in glue or summit (as a mate says it is) then I didn't know the body naturally produces it, wow. I get a kinda rush buzz when I've been awake too long, and do start to trip a bit but didn't know why :)

I'm thinking about writing a comic that involves 8-bit computers arguing over who's the best. Should I include computers made after 1985?

Me fiddling around with the eepc. It feels like discovering the speccy all over again (almost!)!

nah mescalin only comes from certain cacti just like peote (which is Hordenine).

In the middle ages you'd get a similar mindfuck style trip from eating oats and barley that had been badly stored

buying a friendly chemist a copy of Phenethylamines I Have Known and Loved should do the trick.

The latest retro computer competition has a 10 year cut off which includes the dreamcast. So any cut of you can think of will have somebody moaning.

Hence my asking Dunny about his OS. I want one of those little things.

I started an OS a few years back called MeOS because it was Me OS (terrible, terrible name but I needed something to name the repository) which would have been along the same lines but I lost most of my work when my host went bust a few weeks after I suffered a harddrive failure. The only source i could find had zero features and a buggy irq handler so I gave up.

Well, I was thinking of only including computers made before 1985, because that was the year that the 16-bits were introduced*.

    *TI-99 notwithstanding.

oops, forgot to quote Arjun ;)

Sweet :) I'm soo jealous, hehe . Been watching the EEE PC scene, and emerging Pandora handheld scene 24/7 for the last six months, and still not sure at times which I'm gonna try and get, mosta the time I'm 80/20 in favour of the pandora, just cos of the pocketability of the device.

What you running on the EEE PC, the linux build or Windows?

Cool, especially the bit about the oats and barley, hehe :) Isn't there some country or tribe where they all get together on a Sunday and all age ranges (even the ould'uns haha) take something to trip their box off and they have very little crime etc etc

Cough, QL? 8/16/32 bits (take your pick) in January '84 :)

Basing the cutoff on word size probably isn't the best way. I'd say home computing died when Sega released the megadrive. That's when the miggy stopped being the machine everybody was saving for and they blew what money they had already saved on the megadrive and a couple of games. The return of the console and the death of home computing outside of us diehards until everybody wanted to 'download that interwebmail thing' almost 10 years later.

Yeah it was called the UK and it all happened prior to the criminal justice act of 1994. These days they drink large amounts of beer and take stimulants so they can continue to fight on after a good glassing and crime is through the roof. :)

I'm about to visit Myspeccy while later on I do know the clan will be watching the horrid Eurovision online ... count me out ... I've not watched that crud in close to two decades. I hope that that turkey-bastard wins ... that would be a thumbing of the nose which needs to happen ... yet again.

Yeah ... it's called Utopia ... maybe us WoSsers should start our own little country ... Spectopia ... or something ... (cue all the speculum jokes)

Having a relaxing Saturday (is there any other type?), watching The Avengers on DVD (mmmm, Emma) and downloading Doctor Who episodes I haven't seen yet. :)

Also having loads of fun taking the piss out of DanSoloForLife.
