Chilling out on a Saturday night (ie getting hammered) which I haven't done in about 5 years. Had a good Saturday with the two kids and wife with bike rides, shopping, cooking and gardening earlier, and trying to decide at the mo whether this new beer I've bought, Bombardier by Well's & Young's is any good. Well it must be as I'm feeling rather pissed at the moment!!!!
Once that's decided should I play some games on the PS3 and get ridiculed online by some teen-skank-yanks or have a go single-player on COD4 on the PC!
Bought 3 DVD's earlier today for a grand total of 6 quid. Chopper, Monster and Supersize Me. I've wanted to see all of them for ages but couldn't be bothered to rent/download.
Dunno now whether to ask the Bro in law next door to get me a nice Vindaloo when he rings the takeaway. Belly's grumbling so might.
Played GTA4 for a bit and argued with some kids on Xbox Live, watched Toy Story again followed by a couple of old episodes of Monkey on DVD, watched Thursday's episode of Heroes from my Sky + box, had my tea, then watched Eurovision. Much of a muchness really. Was going to go and see the new Indy film but I'll wait a week until it's a bit less crowded.
Just now I'm eating a Nutri-Grain bar checking out news and forums before going to bed.
But this afternoon I watched the Queen of the South vs Rangers cup final (which was awesome) then printed out loads of stuff while Sioux was watching Eurovision.
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

nothing really. In the US this is Memorial Day Weekend (a three day weekend for everyone) however since i've been out of college for about 2 1/2 weeks now, it's basically the same thing i've been doing (listening to music on WinAMP/letting said songs scrobble on last.fm, refreshing fark every 10 seconds, eating black raspberry ice cream directly from the container because i'm an adult now and no one can tell me I can't)

Uni? Good for you! Keep at it ... what degree you going for? (if you don't mind me asking).
Sweet :) I'm soo jealous, hehe . Been watching the EEE PC scene, and emerging Pandora handheld scene 24/7 for the last six months, and still not sure at times which I'm gonna try and get, mosta the time I'm 80/20 in favour of the pandora, just cos of the pocketability of the device.
What you running on the EEE PC, the linux build or Windows?
The thing that decided the eepc for me was that it's a great mobility device, is priced at the sweet spot, does everything that an average laptop user like me would wish for, and is available off the shelves right now! plus it looks really nice and boots in 20 secs!
I'm using the linux build. I think i'll stick to it b'cos i've always secretly wanted to use linux and since i'm not likely to do some heavy professional duty sort of work on it, i don't plan to install apps like photoshop or visual studio. Lets see how far i get with it! ;)
While you're at it, check out the posts made by Miner_willy, aka Matthew (a 14 year old kid) for some really annoying entries. He was most famous for creating hundreds of separate threads such as "What is the best xxx game?" or "How about an xxx preservation project?", ignoring the thread completely for a few days and then posting "Please delete the xxx thread."

He was a strange'un. :)
He was OK really, I think he just didn't get the whole forum thing at first, I remember posting a Troll Alert topic when he first joined and then feeling a dick when I realised he wasn't (intentionally). he once posted about 12 new topics in the Sinclair Misc section knocking all but a few topics people were talking about onto page 2, funny now :)
Oh, and he had that whole I love Metrocolor films thing going on :D
I'm lying abed feeling sorry for mahsel, didn't get in 'til 4:30 a.m. again off the drink, and woke up to find I've ripped most of the skin off my forehead, bloody eczema :(
Am about to call it a night, after a fine afternoon spent fixing arcade machine game boards. Bought a faulty Black Tiger PCB a few weeks back and resurrected it today. Needs a replacement ROM I think but I don't have any of that size spare so it will have to remain 95% fixed for a while, the text is corrupted, but removing the text overlay rom means the game plays perfectly sans text.
As for what the feck is wrong with my mates Truxton board, I do not as yet know.
Have a week off between jobs so I plan to do much the same tomorrow :)
Well I've been testing a recently aquired 128K Spectrum, and a few Sinclair brand educational titles. I tried Early Punctuation for a laugh, who ever wrote it didn't play test it very well, its crap and almost impossible to play.
Other than that I am having a studious weekend. :(

I'd love to see one in real life, just to be able to see how small they are... The linux thing is cool, I think a lot of us have had the urge to run linux but perhaps not wanted to have to mess about getting it onto our main PC, so the fact that it comes preinstalled is great, you might get the urge to try Windows though? I know you like your PC games, and the YouTube videos of classic PC games look very cool.

Yeah, I heard his name mentioned waaaay back when I first joined (wow. I joined when I was 15. I feel OLD, now). I think it was because my very first post, instead of replying to a thread, I accidentally created a NEW TOPIC on accident. Yeah, I regretted that.
But I did some really unfunny posts. REALLY unfunny posts. Like "it makes "Cavemen" seem sharp and witty in comparison" unfunny.

Journalism.
No, really (this is funny if you look at some of my early posts which are the WoS equivalent of The Shaggs)
But you told us not to look at them.
music journo? he's mentioned 90 million singers and bands I never heard of :)

Fine. Look at them. But be warned, they are terrible. Bad.

Not to be confused with the other MinerWilly who is still very much active.

Will find out this week now about the job that I went for (which does not require doing nights!).
I keep my thumbs cross-eyed for you!
You can doo eet!
