As I mentioned before on this thread, if that happens, click on the grey bit directly below the emulator screen, and then click on the main game screen. It will then work.

Yep, I ain't that stupid as not to notice that box.

Some do return to control...Some games still get stuck and won't work.

    No big deal.
I stole it off a space ship.

Ok, please take a look at the top score of Automania.
Has anyone of you seen something similar with this game? Is there any kind of mega-bonus when all cars are finished?

EDIT: I've just watched the available .rzx file from Daren's site. No bonus or anything that increases the score that much after the last car. So...

Anyone having problems getting the emulator to work on myspeccy.org?

All I get is the pop-up window, with the keys displayed, then nothing. I've tried FF and IE, re-installed Java (I assume it uses Java), but to no avail...

    Grrrrrrrrr

EDIT: Sorted, re-installed Java a couple of times, and it's now working... Shame about my game-playing skills though...
    So far, so meh :)

I thought that it must be a bonus too! No one could physically play Automania for that long, surely. Ah well.
More to the point, I see that you have taken up our personal battle over Turmoil glory again;)That looks the best game for wannabe mad mechanics since Automania died. I'll be looking for time enough to best that score and force you to play through all those screens again...

EDIT - It was a bug, now corrected by the site

After all these years, I'm either a lot worse or just as pants at these old Speccy games as I was back then... but Metro-Cross makes me laugh, 'cos I (still to this day) can't get past the same point in the game as back then!!

    ;-)

I improved my score only by returning two or three more tools to the workshops.
But I doubt I'll have enough patience to give it one more try. We'll see. :)

Yep. Master sent me a message about it.

    Where's the trophies gone?

No sooner than they giveth, then they taketh away.

Now I'll have to remember which games I've played to check if I still have a high score :(

One of which I have regained this morning :D

By the way, I'm topping the Rick Dangerous chart. A very tough effort.

    Nobody's playing it.

I'm playing it :) but I'm topping my abilities getting as far as I have and have fearful memories of level 3 so you may be on your own :D

The leaderboard is back, and the site is running quicker.

Oh, you're right, you almost caught me, I was ahead of only of 100 points or so, which prompted me to reach the third level to increase my advantage...

But the rest of the chart is completely still!

Anyway, the third level is not as hard as I remember it.

Well I progressed a little further to take 1st for the moment :) Level 3 isn't as bad as I'd remembered either but it's a nasty level in places with running out of either bullets or dynamite, had to do some tricky jumping.

and now some more new games just added from Wallyweeks list, including Bosconian '87 and Legend of Kage :D

    Yeah, we got cake ;)

    Mega-grrrrrr!! :-x

I used to be good at Silkworm, what's going on?! I'm sure I used to get pretty far in it (definately used to get as far as level 10)... but now, I can't get past those really fast planes that fly straight at you in level 5!!

Not only that, but I used to hold/jam the space bar down (on my 48k+) to keep the jeep shooting, while I controlled the chopper with Interface 2 keys... But it doesn't let me do that now, I can't seem to do everything at once!!

Legend of Kage is a game I'd never played before it went up on the site. Thanks for suggesting it:-)

I suggested Pogo and I've put a decent marker down on that one.

Ah... sorry about that. New target for you to beat now :D:D:D

Well it took me a while to get round to it, but... I saved it up for the game that would take me past you in the championship table:-D

    Well done!

(although I've not really played any games on there for a couple of days. Been too busy with other things. So enjoy your lead while it lasts MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)

Blimey, just had a look at the champions list... You lot (Starglider, CKay, Stack) are all slowly edging towards the top!! Nice one.

Meanwhile, I've dropped off the bottom of the list!!

Hmmmm, I was almost ready to call it quits for a while with this site as I seemed to be getting slowly worse instead of better. One annoying thing I've noticed that I was always good at doing when I was younger is getting further in the game but scoring less. This seemed to be happening to me a lot.

But after this morning I've changed my mind :D

Finally beat Saboteur on the final level with a maximum 63000 points!

A really nice touch is that your helicopter flies up when the countdown's hitting zero, and you start to see the first red flashes of the explosion before escaping.

I'm quite proud of that - used to love this game as a kid, but never completed more than the easy levels.

Now pondering tackling Sab 2 - never usually got anywhere with that one.

Like I said I'm not even going to try Saboteur, but Sab 2 I may try later down the line, but I've not played it properly in years. But I think it may have been easier than the 1st one, just a bigger map. There's so many weapons earlier on that you barely have to go at it with the androids at all.

    Just played it.

Sab 2 doesn't really grab me, and the invincibility cheat mode spoils things. At least Sab 1's clock-stop bug didn't spoil the difficulty of the game.

AAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!! I was 400 pts short of beating Stacks massive Legend of Kage score I lost a life and it crashed :(

I still had a life left too so I would have beaten it!

I just don't have the go ahead to try again today

When performing the knee to the groin, press fire and the other direction to chuck the assilant over your shoulder. Very handy, you can get rid of the first 2 bosses uber quickly. Now Im without it its all about the jump kick and back kick - still struggling with the final boss man

If they can get scores out from a game it must be possible to put them in.

For example when Bombjack starts it could get the top 10 players from the server and modify the in-game list of top players inline with the top players of the site.
