they've got a vicky pollard clone, and a ting tong clone. they really are clutching at straws, and its not just that.

    an african american albino
    a blind transvestite
    2 self confessed 'It' girls
2 muslims, who aren't actually practicing their faith in any way what so ever jsut in case you thought they'd be tea total.

if this is a social experiment featuring a cross section of the british public, then i must be french cos ive never come across anyone like these people before, and ive been to london.

    so........

i'm really looking forward to slagging these people off to work collegues, internet chums, mates, and random people i meet.

I think the show is the best argument for the retention of cluster bombs as an anti-personnel weapon.

I doubt I will be watching it for long.
I thought Davina McCall was handing the reigns over to Dermot O'Leary, n'est pas?
I think that Ping Pong ting tong and Vicky Pollard might be funny. You could have the entire cast of Little Britain in there!

Yawn. They still show that crappy tv programme?

You need to give it a few days for them to calm down and start to miss their outisde world contacts TV/Internet/Mobile/Facebook etc

Never watched it, never will. I despise the whole reality-TV saturation culture we have to endure now. Call me old fashioned but I would rather have a well-written script acted out by actors with interesting locales and camera shots by a decent director. Admittedly that's never always been the case anyway (eg soaps 99% of the time) but I'd rather have telly like that than stick a camera in front of some boring, ugly joe-public dickhead.

I can sort of understand why people watch BB, at first it was a decent social experiment, now it's on because of the ratings. I thought it had been in steady decline for the last few though.

I admit i used to watch it JUST because there was nothing else on. Honestly TV is so bad thats the only thing on tv some nights.

I must admit i like the launch show but its the same old same old. Lots of wannabees trying to be 'wacky' to get media attention. Or you get some who make out theyre wacky in the auditions and then are boring as hell and moan about 'i miss my mum' (christ havent you ever been on a 2 week holiday with your mates before).

I'll only watch it if theres nothing else on or i havent got a dvd to watch.

I can see why people like it as its meant to be 'real'. I'm really not a fan of any BBC or ITV dramas so that cuts it down a lot what i want to watch !

it's like gonig to bedlam and watching the freaks. thats what reality tv is. and the producers know that.

a lot of people watch it just cos everyone else does and want to be able to talk about it. even people who dont watch it, end up talking about it and commenting on the current events in the house.

Obviously once you are in there its difficult to keep an act up and theyre more like themselves. But surely for all the family/friends they must find it cringeworthy watching it hoping their son/friend doesnt do anything stupid. I mean Kinga and that bottle, etc , ridiculous.

I'll only watch it if theres nothing else on but i'm glad its losing its shine after all these years as more and more people who used to watch it arent bothering now.

You'll see far better walking down the street on your average sunny day.

    Big Brother = Utter Bollocks.

I just wish they'd use E4+1 for something else, seeing as (I think) it technically is an additional channel. It's crap to miss out on decent E4 output due to this waste of airwaves.

You have to watch it otherwise half of your tabloid newspaper is useless.

I tried reading the news report on the BBC website about the launch day, and could actually feel my brain turning to mush after reading a couple of paragraphs.

yeah ha ha, when i used to get the 'star' on a saturday, there were about 7 pages of big brother news. page on whats happening in the house, page of proffesional photos of one of the female house mates, expose on a personal life of a house mate etc

how come all the pretty female girls in the house seem to have already been models.

That's why they made the BBC iPlayer (note: other tv streams are available). You can pick and choose what to watch and when to watch it.

And of course, multiuser games on t'internet! I'd rather be duking it out on the b|d clan ET server than watching most of what's on tv.

Pathetic. No wonder this country is the state it's in if this is classed as entertainment and people watch and enjoy it.

I think the same of Saturday night TV, musical crap on BBC1 then Doctor Who (i'm not a fan) and nothing on ITV either.

Thank god for dvds and crappy channels on Sky !

Bit harsh ! Weak people like him thats the problem ? Cant quite work that out.

Just as Big Brother is embarassing to watch for some, i find some of their programs sad to watch so each to their own.

It's depressing that Big Brother won't ever be axed whilst it still pulls in high ratings for C4 plus high phone revenue. As it appeals mainly to the lowest common denominator, it's not going to go anywhere.

Sadly C4 is now moving towards freak shows rather than meaningful documentaries.

i always wondered wht the problem with the world was, and it turns out it was alchresearch all along. :-D

See thats a bit harsh ! I watch Big Brother (not so much) but believe it or not i'm not pondlife scum for watching it. Some people want just something different to watch as they find the dramas on tv crap or cant stand reality shows when it comes to dancing or singing.

As i've said a lot i cant stand Dr Who but i wouldnt say every single one of their fanbase are nerdy dweebs just as not every single person who watches Big Brother is thick and reads Heat magazine.

As a 'lowest common denominator' i dont think its the worst thing on tv, pulls in the biggest ratings for 18-35 year olds. For me personally theres tons worse tv progs on the box but we all have different tastes.

Its like Eastenders to me, if i've had a crap day at work, feeling fed up, i watch Big Brother or Eastenders and 30 mins later i realise my lifes great and things could be soooo much worse ! Watching some prat on tv in Big Brother act a total idiot i find quite entertaining !

Yeah, you might have a point. It's a bit like a soap opera but with better acting. ;)
